It is EXACTLY how I felt about my little trip to a beach in Seto Island. However, I did find an oasis in a small bar on the beach with black and white seats and a funny Australian man serving drinks... Also, in an international area where I do not have to rub elbows with the locals.
But return? Yes, I will..... if my son requests it to meet one of the island children, who is his friend.
